Gorseinon 2nds 27 Ystradgynlais Athletic 10

Ystradgynlais Athletic finished off there league campaign with a disappointing loss against a very good Gorseinon reserve team.

The much larger Gorseinon side used there size wisely at the brake down and carried the ball superbly well. They also had a couple of great finishers which ran in some first class tries. They were assisted by somesuicidal moments by the blues with some uncharacteristic forced passes and some sloppy defence. The main factor in Ystrad's defeat was a lack of concentration at key times but in all fairness to Gorseinon they took there chances superbly.

Richards is on numerous occasions, creating gaps and chances that were left lost. The line out also functioned well with two new recruits Thomas Jones and throwing. Along with the two new forward recruits another new signing made his debut in 18 year old flying winger Adam Walters who looks an exiting prospect as he has genuine pace and enthusiasm to play. He becomes the 35th different player to represent the Athletic and leaves Ystrad with over sixty registered senior players who have worn the Blue Jersey this term.

The Ystrad points came from a try from the 'Body' and five points from the boot of the extremely skill full Cellan Morgan.
