Ystradgynlais U16s 21 Gorseinon U16s 11

Ystradgynlais Under 16s capped off a magnificent week for the club with a well deserved Ospreys cup victory over Gorseinon at Neath's fortress the Gnoll.

The game was a battle from start to end with Gorseinon seemingly winning the battle first half and leading 8 –7 at the interval. Ystrad fought back and showed great attitude and concentration to see off their opponents 21 – 11.

Point’s machine and full back Sam Davies scored a try and converted to give himself an impressive eleven point total for the final. Dan Baker and the extremely talented Ryan Jones scored the other two tries. The two players capped off what has been an outstanding season for the pair.

The team has trained extremely hard over the season and has shown team spirit and ambition through out. Under Andy Davies they have been guided and coached superbly, always looking forward to the next challenge

Ystradgynlais are blessed to have such a talented squad of young players and are improving each season. They will now become the backbone of next season’s youth team, which will go forth and peruse even more individual and club success.

Any body of youth age that wishes to play along side our talented and ambitious players are more than welcome. You will be greeted with open arms and made welcome.
